AdriAnachronique

I do not need to take the road most walked - I have my own.

About Me

True rebels do not wear the label. I do not appreciate shallowness and narrow-mindedness; consequently, I mind my own business and give the cold shoulder to others’ negative behavior. I am convinced that there is beauty in everything and it all depends on the perspective you choose to take, therefore, I respect self-expression and love genuine eccentricity - not pomposity though. I also love authenticity, gentleness, complexity and the overwhelmingly annoying feeling of not being able to reach perfection. I hate wasting time, I am quite busy and numerous interests prevent me from getting bored or boring – from graphic design to writing music.
Thanks for dropping by, come back and greet me every now and then! :)

Miscellanea:
Art, art, art... and some more art
I usually drink tea, seldom plain water
Lacto-ovo vegetarian since 2000, straight-edge since 2006
I study psychology (I love the medical part and pathology)
I think astrology is a terrific tool for a deeper understanding of psychology (through symbolism)
By the (astrological) way... I have Gemini Sun, Scorpio Moon, Aquarius Rising
My cooking usually gets praises and encores, but strangely, its quality depends on my… feelings
Audio books – now I „read” even when walking
Intense empathy – draining, but precious
Fiercely committed to what and whom I love
Ecology and humanitarianism – old loves
Good dancer
My biggest accomplishment so far (and probably ever - I can’t think of anything more important) is overcoming myself
I'm still a perfectionist :-D

I'd like to meet:

... the inspiration in you, no matter who you are, what you do, or what you think of me. Sad, joyful, grateful, struggling, carefree, wise, innocent, happy in your skin, lost… everyone has a lesson to teach.

Politeness will always receive positive feedback from me. However, I will delete/not approve offensive or much too long/repetitive comments or images that would widen my page (I just hate horizontal scrollbars!)

NOTE! I am not interested in sex/dating/relationships.

Music:

broad taste - Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Classical, New Age, Electronica etc

Movies:

Any movie he is in

Television:

I rarely watch TV. When I do, I prefer cartoons, documentaries, old movies, talk-shows (depending on the debated topic and the participants) or "Gilmore Girls"

Books:

Old books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, manuals, children’s books, art books, I.L.Caragiale, J. Steinbeck, Ch. Dickens, M. Eliade, Ch. Baudelaire, H. Ibsen etc – I read anything that doesn’t bore me.

Heroes:

The fight with hardships, stereotypes and prejudices makes my heroes. I admire some famous successful people, but my notion of heroism resides in existences on the edge of survival, in the people who, despite having merely nothing, still find resources to give, to resist, to overcome - incurably ill people who encourage their healthy loved ones, large families living on $100 monthly wages, homeless old people who share their bread with a pet, and so on.
