About Us
Moth’s Tales is an Italian alternative rock band, formed in Udine (2002) by Caterina Signor, Michele Rossi and Roberto Battilana. The current line-up comprises vocalist and guitarist Michele Rossi, bassist Roberto Battilana and drummer Miguel Gazziero.
The style of Moth’s Tales has been frequently refered to post punk artists like The Cure, Joy Division and Sad Lovers and Giants.
The first EP Decadent Truth (2003) included Sadness, based on a medieval theme familiar for the song Saltarello by Dead Can Dance, and was showcased with a multimedia concert conceived together with Giuseppe Zigaina.
After have recorded a soundtrack for a short film about environmental protection (Jo Quiero, 2004) and the album Obstinè (2006), three songs were released in a compilation including works by Fields of the Nephilim projects, supporting them on tour as well.
The next album Unknown Portrait (2008) gathered enthusiastic reviews in the alternative press, followed by the live studio session Three (2009) and including Still, promoted by a live videoclip.
