Whazzup People!

About Me

Hello visitors, I am from the Bronx, New York...just joined MySpace to see what all the fuss is about, but so far I am liking it! I am pretty much on here to make friends, I don't know that many people on here so I decided to make the best of that by putting the musicians who's talents I really admire on my page...I LOVE music. I think maybe I got it from my father, who has hundreds of tapes and CD's...he would spend whole days just listening to music along with my mother and making new tapes, and just being around all that honest appreciation for music I guess made me appreciate it more...I mean, he doesn't care...he'll listen to Elvis Presley, or Barbara Streisand, to Bob Marley and Whitney Houston so I grew to appreciate the diversity of music and it made me realize and respect the creative process that goes into all music.Even if I don't like the vocals, maybe I like the chord progressions, or the guitar in the background...or a note one of the background vocalists hits. I have been known to listen to one song that I liked for more than an hour, just absorbing every cord, every background vocal, every trick the vocalist does with his/her voice...its like it becomes a part of me....since I am getting older, I decided to take some musical lessons because I want to do everything I have ever thought about doing and one of the things is learning how to play the piano and the guitar, so that is one of the directions I am headed in. The self-expression music provides is something that I can't get enough of. You may not WANT to argue with your girl, but you can write her a song. Something might happen in your family, you may be frustrated about something...singing a good song helps. I think music is a gift from God, a way of coping with the joys and the pains that come with existing in this life. The reason it touches so many people is because we are all connected, we all have way too many things in common than we have differences, and music allows people to see and feel what sometimes cannot be explained by simply discussing things...sometimes a person's mind is closed. But hear a good song, and it strikes a chord in an otherwise closed mind. That is its power, and the reason why a good song sticks in your mind.My latest and greatest musical experience was seeing Angie Stone and Anthony Hamilton for FREE in a concert in Brooklyn at Wyngate Park..the Martin Luther King summer concert series...they have them every summer, and it was GOOD. When I am not on here I am working as a customer service rep, if you all have computer issues let me know maybe I can help, I repair computers. Mostly, IBM compatibles, meaning Dell, Sony, etc. No Macs...not yet anyway. I like to surf the net and check out music...why is that not a surprise? I used to download a lot, now I just use ITunes or Napster, or I buy the CD if it has at least 5 tracks I like.. If you all have any other questions just send a brotha a note, I ALWAYS answer back. Right now I think I have written enough, so thanks for visiting my page and God Bless. music layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com
