I'm a laid back, fun loving guy. I enjoy the company of a group of close friends. I'm very active and athletic, which gives me a better appreciation of periodic relaxation time. I can relax and be rejuvenated just as well laying on the couch with a good book as hiking through a forest. Some people ask if the glass is half full or half empty; I'd say my cup is overflowing. I'm too busy living and loving life to sweat the small stuff, and everything is small stuff.
I enjoy jumping off of a cliff on a pair of skis, relaxing with a good book, and hanging out with friends. I'm pretty active; spending my time with friends, sports, and church, but some days what I enjoy most is turning on the radio and kicking back to read some classic literature.
One of the highlights of the past year was riding my bicycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles (mostly along Highway 1) with a group of guys from work and a support driver, who happens to be my mother. The coolest (and most painful) part was riding over a mountain pass that was later categorized as a four-mile Category 1 climb (7% grade) for the Tour of California professional bike race. Sweet! I always wanted to know what it was like to ride in the mountains during the Tour de France; now I know.
I lead a couple of book study groups and we have some pretty cool discussions, so I have decided to use my blog space to post thoughts about the chapter that we have just discussed. So check it out and add comments if you'd like.
