Trust me when I say "We do too". If you keep reading you will find some helpful hints on what will make your project sound the best it can be.1. Practice- I can't stress this enough. Have a good idea of what you are hoping for, before you come to the studio. Be tight as a group, know your parts, be thinking of other parts, and maybe even have some bands that you like on a CD for us to check out. This will help us tweek your sound. Also, working with a click track makes things a lot easier. Practice with one before you get to the studio. Maybe even have some tempos worked out. This will make your songs sound tight and consitain. Also, this helps with delays and reverbs, drum loops, and other fun thins that really help out your sound.2. New Strings and Heads-Wow! You are about to drop $1000 on your new CD and you can't spring for a couple extra bucks to get new heads or strings? It helps out a ton. Trust me, playing with the same heads you played the last 6 shows on is not going to sound great on you record no matter how much processing we do. There is an old saying that is "crap in, crap out". We use top of the line gear in our studio and we think you should too.3.Bring Extra-Extra what you say? Everything. 2 Packs of strings for each guitar, an extra snare head, a back up cable, more sticks than you think, ect... Trust me paying for time while you run to the store to get sticks is a big waste of money. Think ahead.4.Call TMJRecordings-We will do our best to help you every step of the way so that your project sounds the best it can. We will take the time to work out every detail we can. We like to run a tight ship so that time is used to its ut most dollar. Do not be afraid to call or email with questions. We will do our best to answer everything we can.
