About Me

Christian Myspace Layouts - Cross MySpace Layouts Christian Myspace Layouts
I'm not a man who enjoys controversy; and yet, I love Jesus - and since Jesus is controversial, I guess in a way I do enjoy controversy. I believe that Jesus is the only way to God and to heaven, and those who refuse Him will be eternally condemned. Yet, God is gracious towards us and loves us. He has proven His love by sending Jesus Christ to die for all of our sins. I do not accept our society's current teaching that all religions are equal, nor do I think that evolution is an adequate explanation for the life we see on Earth today. My chief aim in life is to glorify God by the manner in which I live, even though I often fall far short of even my own mediocre standards, let alone God's. There are many things that I enjoy and I love my life. One of my favorite things is to sit down with my bible and friends, and to talk of the things of God. I love teaching the word of God and hope to get involved in full-time ministry some day. I also really enjoy sports, particularly football, racquetball and basketball. Like most people, I love music, and nearly everything I do has music playing in the background. I don't watch a lot of television, but I love movies. I'm also a Navy veteran, and proud to have served my country. I can be very patriotic, but my ultimate loyalty is God, second to Him, is my family (even if we do disagree on many things).

My Interests

Two of my main interests consist of

One: The Dissemination of the gospel to all those who have not yet heard the good news of Jesus Christ
Two: I'm highly interested in the edification and maturation of all the saints. To prepare all of God's children for the work that God has intended for them to accomplish in this world.

I'd like to meet:

To my future wife: I came across this quote, and it is something we should seriously consider, "The problems we bring into our marriage will only be magnified in our marriage." Let us not get married to make our problems go away, but to lean on each other as we lean on God to work through our problems together.

Books:

Written by over 40 authors, spanning 1500 years, this book has the power to dramatically change your life. Hundreds of prophecies that are declared within its pages have been fulfilled, and there are many more that will be fulfilled in coming days. If you've ever wondered who God is, or what He's like, you can find the answer in these pages.

"For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (2 Peter 1:21)

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Heroes:

My hero is none other than the one that died on the cross to pay the debt that none of us is able to pay on our own. As He was nailed to the cross, He cried out "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." This is love.

Jesus is my hero because He has saved my soul from an eternal hell. He did this by shedding His own blood, being brutally beaten, and then nailed to a cross. He gave Himself as a sacrifice for you and me; all He asks in return is that we would believe and accept Him as our Lord and Savior - Have you made that wonderful choice yet?
God's love for us is demonstrated by the death of His own son and now,
"A Blood-stained Hand is stretched out to us from the cross bidding us arise from our dead selves, and accept the scroll of canceled sin it offers." One man described Jesus' mission this way: "His Primary task was to shed His blood as the only balm for the spiritual maladies of a sin-sick world."
