Everything under the sun. Mostly art. Art says something. Sometimes I'm not sure what, sometimes no one is, but it says something. Other then that camping, hiking, snowboarding, dogs, animals, cameras, of course, computers, friends, taking risks and coming out alive. Traveling, anywhere and everywhere. Reading, I love to read. I have to read at least a little everyday; I want to read it all, though that’s a very stupid thing to say. Saying stupid things. I like to say things that sound stupid but have their own personal wisdom. My big new intrest though is brewing my own beer. I'm a beer snob and proud of it. I have so far made about 80 gl of my own beer and have started to make my own recipes. Way better than anything you get in most stores. I guess I have a lot of interests.
Someone right.
Music is a constant part of my life. If I'm not listing to music, I'm reading or dead. I'll give anything a chance. I'm not a big fan of country, though I have found some that I like. Punk, Punk, Punk. It’s the music of rebellion. And I don't mean that new shit that started to come out a few years ago. The big business co-op-ed punk, the Blinks and all of that. I mean real PUNK. Turn it up, play it loud. Lattly I've been listning to a lot of Blues. Ray, BB, Muddy, ECT. If you havn't listened to Sadi Thom, DO IT. She's really good. All of this said, my theam song, if I had to choose one, would be Johnny Cash, Boy Named Sue.I can kind of realate.
I love watching movies these days. It's more art. I love talking about movies too. Resent ones that I've liked Tideland was really good, so was Blood Dimond. Other then that some of the good old ones and some new stuff. Is it me or has there really been a glut of stupid movies in the last 5 years. There are always are but it seems to have gotten really bad recently. Some of my titles would be, Sectetary, Good Night and Good Luck, 25th Hour, The Advantures of Tom Thumb, Lagan, Bill Hicks Live. Many more.
I have a little problem with the TV. We don't get along very well. It keeps me from doing my work and I want to throw it off a high building. But then something good, or at least distracting comes on and thats all she wrote. These things should come with warrning labels stating that they are addictive and can cause obessity, lazyness, and a warped sence of reality. Though it's not really the medium it self that is the problem other then the fact that a TV can suck all the energy out of a room. Really though its the content thats the real problem. It's the things that we are fed in a never ending stream of media and suggestion. And what can we do but submit, we know nothing else. We prop up the system with our ignorance.
Fiction: Rushdie, Vonnegut, Eco, Camus, Tolkien, ect. Non-Fiction: Political works, things which are crtical of our consumer caulture, Art history. America, The Book. By the writers of the Daily Show. It's funny as hell and worth a read. You might even actualy learn something. Oh my god... learn something. Outside of school. No, it's not possible. It's more then my mind can stand.
Those who are willing to stand up for what is right.
