In late 1997 BULLY and his family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and began the transformation from Chicago's fast pace to Indiana's slower velocity. "Nap-town [Indianapolis] is cool, people show me a lot of love throughout the city, but my heart and soul will always remain in Chicago". Even though BULLY was born in the late 80's he knows his music, from Marvin Gaye to Biggie, his love for music came at an early age. "When I was old enough to really listen to rap and understand it, the beginning or renaissance-age was just about over. I wish I was born 10 years earlier so I could've witnessed L.L. Cool J, Run-DMC, Slick Rick, and Doug E. Fresh". BULLY was influenced by the great lyricist of his time like The Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, and Outkast. My brother and I was younger we used to work at a gas station cleaning every morning at 6:00am. We only made .35¢ an hour and I spent all my money on CD's. The 2000 Outkast release "Stankonia" and the 2001 Jay-Z release "The Blueprint" inspired BULLY to really take music seriously and catapulted his own skills and career to the next level. I had been rapping since I was 8, but when I listened to those albums they changed my life. J-Hova and Outkast made me focus on really doing music seriously and understand how to create timeless songs.
Currently BULLY is finishing up his debut LP "Good Morning" and his mixtape "The Night Before" has just been dubbed “a classic†from HipHopDx.com.
