Dex Nicholson’s background can be found in dance music and with live bands, having had previous releases on the ultra cool Popgun Supreme and Rock Solid record labels, and working with Mercury Music Prize Nominee Kathryn Williams.
To date DC Joseph have written, produced and / or remixed a vast collection of artistes in different styles from R&B to house for acts such as Natalie Williams, Jaheim, Big Brovaz, Dem Franchise Boys, Choong Family, Plant Life, Mercedes, Jill Scott, Foxy Brown, Akon, Mark Morrison, Donell Jones, Bodhi, Guy, Usher, Christina Milian, Trinity Stone, Dwele, Beverley Knight, Sirens, Will Smith, Liberty X, Letrix, NERD, John Legend, Nelly, DMX and Elephant Man, amongst many, many others.
Recent projects include work for Cleo (Eastside), Ava Leigh (Virgin), Jessie J (Gut), Craig David (Warners) Maria Lawson (Sony) Sirens (Kitchenware) & Karoshi Bros (We Are Woodville).
As well as co-writing and producing their Papercuts dance project with the Burt Brothers, the duo are currently working with a number of acts including SoulStar, Aaron James Cashell, Sirens and Annonymos. DC Joseph also continue to be making headway across the pond. With recent tracks submitted to a number of A-list artistes, the boys are currently penning material with Kenisha Pratt (Brandy/Darkchild), Michael Jay (Eminem/Dido), Celetia Martin (Soulshock) and others. There is also further work to start on newly signed projects at Virgin and Sony BMG.
