I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

First off, whoever wants to be added as a friend, be sure to message me first, or you'll get the big boot. I don't know who you are, so I'm not about to accept the invitation. Second, if you've been on my friends list before and aren't anymore, you never made an attempt to talk to me on here so uh yeah, adios. More than likely I left numerous comments or messages and you didn't even bother to reply to one of them. Is it really that hard to reply to a message? Even a couple words will do. Most of my messages have open ended questions, so not responding doesn't make sense anyway. That also goes for the people on my current friends list. Please reply. It's just lazy and rude to not message someone back. So, if you're willing to give it another go, then by all means, send me a friend request. Anyways...
Well, I was born and raised in Michigan, back in 1982. I went through the entire Novi school system and graduated from Novi High School in 2000. After that, I got the big boot from the house and moved around quite a bit. I had an ongoing long distance relationship with a girl and decided to move in with her. I moved here (Arizona) back in October of 2001 and haven't looked back, except to those I care about or those who care enough to keep in touch. I have been with Heather now for over eight and a half years. Time sure finds a way to fly by, doesn't it? I was attending Mesa Community College to become an elementary teacher. Mike? A what?! Teacher?! Yes, you read that correctly. I love working with kids. I'll be able to wake up everyday and be happy about going to work and know that I'm making a difference in this world. We moved out to Lake Havasu in July, so my schooling is on hold as of now. I'm sure I'll find somewhere to attend school out here. Even if it's via .. instruction (which I've done before and didn't like it very much). In my spare time (and for a source of income) I sell electronics, dvds, and video games, ... I decided to make this page to find some old friends and or classmates I've lost touch with throughout the years and make new friends along the way. Feel free to message me anytime.
Back in 2005 I started eating healthier and treating my body correctly. I dropped 85 pounds and feel way better today than I ever have before in my life. It's not hard, it just takes determination and you have to be strict most of the time. Isn't it worth it anyway? I sure think so. I can't even look back at my old pictures, it makes me realize how poorly I was treating my body and how badly I was eating. After the first couple weeks, it is not a problem or challenge at all. There is a lot of junk in the food we eat ever day. So do yourself a favor and read up about it. I'm sure you'll be very surprised by what you find. I know I was.
P.S. This page is best viewed in Firefox, NOT Internet Explorer. Heck, the whole internet is best viewed in Firefox, NOT Internet Explorer. So ditch that junk and get a real browser.

My Interests

Music, movies, video games, the outdoors, helping children and people in general (thus why I'm in the process of becoming a teacher), etc...

Movies:

I am pretty much open to anything when it comes to movies. I just have to be in a certain mood for whatever type it is. My favorite type of movies are comedies.

Television:

I enjoy watching sports and most of the shows I watch I grew up on. I don't make a schedule so I have to watch these shows everyday, but when I catch them on and have the time, I'll watch them.

Sports: Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, Football, All four main sports NCAA wise, UFC, Lacrosse, Arena Football, Golf, Tennis, etc. My favorite teams from the four major sports? My hometown teams, of course. Detroit Pistons, Tigers, Red Wings, and Lions.

TV: Home Improvement, The Cosby Show, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Roseanne, Step By Step, Family Matters, Full House, Boy Meets World, MacGyver, Magnum P.I., Seinfeld, King of Queens, Yes Dear, etc.

Books:

The Outsiders is still one of my favorites to date. Autobiographies are great. Hulk Hogan's was actually a very good read. It's something about "real" stories that makes it so captivating. Another interesting book is called The Tao of Health, Sex, & Longevity by Daniel P. Reid. I highly recommend it. If you follow the food combinations in that book, you'll see a difference in how you feel instantly. The most recent book I've read is Many Lives, Many Masters, by Brian L. Weiss. That was also an amazing book, whether you believe the contents or not.

Heroes:

Anyone who has positively impacted my life. I'm not someone who obsesses with sports figures (though I have my favorites), people in hollywood, musicians, etc. Those are not heroes (for the most part, but I do understand what some of them have done for our communities, country, or the world, through charity and such). I'm talking about the everyday heroes you never hear about, because they don't want the attention. They just go out there everyday, the same way, and make a difference in this world. They do not want recognition for what they have done, because the important thing is helping others.
