Television:
I love watching the History channel, Baseball games (usually A's or Giants), Football (NFL only), Basketball, Sitcoms including Sienfeld, Everybody loves raymond, Cheers, and M*A*S*H*, I watch the Band of Brothers series on DVD.
Books:
Almost any sports books and I've read a few other books that were required for school that were alright about Japanese history including The Shanks Mare, The Tale of the Heike and Silence.
