About Me
Life can be strange. When I got my plastic £1.00 Beatles guitar for christmas and was standing there looking in the mirror imagining I was one of them, I had no idea where it would lead. I was and still am, a major Beatles fan. Started playing guitar in a band at school with my mates Nick Proios and Rob Ellington and later played in a band with Lene Lovich ( she was doing soul music then!) Started working for an equipment hire company just as the punk thing blew up. In fact two of the Adverts worked there as well and bands like Generation X were rehearsing there (Led Zep too). Met up with Camelle Hinds and his band TFB and played with them for about a year. The band split but me and Camelle stuck together and later formed a band called Central Line. Along with bands like Hi-Tension and Light of the World, We were leaders of the Brit Funk Wave that hit Britain. It was a riot!
When that scene was over, I moved into doing Lots of T.V. shows appearing on Top Of The Pops many times with people like Robert Palmer Sheena Easton and Barry White to name a phew! I appeared on Saturday Night Live (U.S.A.) with Desree, The Terry Wogan Show with Natalie Cole, was on the road with Junior Walker and Martha Reeves. I was Musical Director for the Sickle Cell Gala house band and we backed people Like Lulu, Billy Ocean and CHAKA KHAN!!!!! Sometimes I just couldn't believe it! From a plastic Beatles guitar to this! God come and take me now! Since then I've released two of my own albums in Japan Changing Times and Free Your Spirit on Unity Records which did OK!I am now a producer and part time teacher (gotsta pass it on) and have had the pleasure of working and writing with Dawn Joseph ( Nate James Louise Rednapp) Dave Brant ( Mistique Nate James ) and Alan Glass (Earth wind and fire Aretha Franklin). I'm also producing two acts which I believe are gonna do very well. Soulful RnB Artist Nathan Watson and Brit Hop rapper Archie are two young guys with a great future.
