Ginny is the youngest of the Weasley children and is the only girl. She is a Gryffindor like the rest of her family, and has a major crush on Harry in her first year. In her first year, Ginny is possessed by a sixteen-year-old Voldemort, through the diary of 'T.M. Riddle'. She unknowingly sets loose the Basilisk and unintentionally lures Harry into Voldemort's trap. She looses the diary at one point, and panics when she finds out that Harry has it. She goes through his dorm and steals it back. After Harry saves her from Voldemort, she seems to have a more brotherly relationship with him. She goes into more of a background character in books three and four, and returns as a major character in book five. Ginny insists on going with Harry Ron and Hermione to the department of mysteries in order to save Sirius. She fights bravely in the department of mysteries, giving us a look at the now much older Ginny.Ginny is infact the only female child of the Weasley family. Her parents always fused over her more so than her brother seeing she was the youngest and the only girl. In ways she was left out because she was the only girl, when her brother would pratice quidditch she would be forced to watch. But while her brothers were off doing something else she would break into the broom closet and steal each broom inturn and taught herself how to play quidditch. This fact is unknown to her brothers until she made the Gryffindor Quidditch team in her fourth year, where Hermione informed them as to how their sister was doing so well in quidditch. Thoughout her years at Hogwarts she becomes more well known. As she grows older she beings to get more attnetion from the boys in her year. Durring the end of her 3rd year she started dating a boy but dumped her later her 4th year. Between the year of her 4th and 5th year Ginny started to date Dean whom she dumped later that year. Since the firs time Ginny met Harry Potter she had a crush on him, but always though that Harry would never see her as anything more than her best mates little sister. After her second year, and many talks with Hermione, Ginny started to talk around Harry, something she had not been able to do the pervious years befor. Ginny was able to be herself around Harry once she stopped worring what he thought about her. Durring Ginny's 5th year, after have helped win the Quidditch inner-house cup for Gryffindor, festivies carried on in the common room. Haveing never guessed Harry had fancied her she hugged Harry in jubliation and in high sipirits after the game. She was quite suprised when Harry kissed her, but didn't hesitat in kissing him back. Ginny was quite happy when Harry asked her out, and Harry was relieved when Ron gave his blessings. Later that year Ginny was a part of the fight aganist invading Death Earts in Hogwarts. After the funeral of Dumbledor Harry felt it was best he break up with Ginny. He explained it to her the best he could. Voldemort was willing to use Ginny for bait in her first year at Hogwarts and then she was nothing more than his best mates little sister, what would Voldemort do if he found out they were now dating?
