Goatfucker was born of sin and death and all that is unholy.
Goatfucker arose from the ashes of Execrate Machine in 2004, quickly creating raw, filthy, original black metal, inspired by European, North American and South American black metal and thrash bands. April of 2004 saw the recording and release of the first two Goatfucker EP's (Eternal Grim Suicide Darkness, and A Cold Evil Moon). After this initial stage of grim and violent, yet epic, exploratory auditory perversion, the first full length (Pure Hell) was recorded, as Goatfucker took an even more raw and unorthodox path for creating apocalyptic black metal. The result was an almost unlistenable amalgamation of grating, bleak, jarring noisy severity, taking unstructured ideas to the extreme, that showed very little attention to song structure, composition, or method. Slightly over half an hour of mostly poorly executed ideas, Pure Hell was a quickly forgotten embarrassment, and a poor excuse for a debut album. Its sound more resembles harsh drone/noise with a black metal leaning than its intended form of disastrous black metal. All aggression and musicality has been lost in the overly raw recording and production. But, it still remains part of the Goatfucker history and discography, and thus has its own significance that maybe someday will be discovered.
Over the next few months, songs for a proper full length were recorded, comprising what would become the second album (Holocaust of Earth). This showed Goatfucker regain its black metal chops while also trying out new ideas. 2005 began with the completion of this album. In the following summer, the third EP (Malice) was recorded, as Goatfucker focused and mastered the new concepts previously toyed with on Holocaust of Earth, and began to mature and incorporate a wider range of influences and better developed ideas. But later in the same year, Goatfucker de-evolved, resorting back to the primitive as the fourth EP (Superior Blasphemy) was recorded, a kind of throwback to the more raw, simplistic, and barbaric forms of black metal. The Superior Blasphemy and Malice EP's, though only recorded one month apart, sound like entirely different bands.
This year and a half period of rapid writing and recording was exhausting (2 albums, 4 EP's), and over the next year Goatfucker rested in silence. A year later, beginning in July of 2006 and ending in October the same year, Goatfucker struck back with a vengeance! The resting brought back the flame of inspiration and the clarity and focus needed for Goatfucker. The third full length (Through a Malefic Storm of Torment) was recorded, involving elements of everything Goatfucker had done to that point, plus much more, with emphasis on all that was epic, hateful, and destructive.
Two more songs were recorded in 2007 for what was hoped to eventually become Goatfucker's fourth album. Graven Hatred's time consuming responsibilities in other areas of life, however, prevented any further work to be put into this prospect, and the two songs stand alone as what has become the fifth EP, entitled This War is Eternal.
Over the next two years there was much in life that consumed the musical entity of Goatfucker, preventing it from playing or writing or recording any music. Though times remain turbulent, out from the darkness Graven Hatred has emerged, and begun recording the first Goatfucker songs in two years for an upcoming split with fellow black metal barbarians Og Tegnet, Dead Mountain and Immortal Sacrifice.
