In Flames, Pretty Girls Make Graves, the Mars Volta, Planes Mistaken for Stars, Modest Mouse, the Melvins, Ani DiFranco, At the Gates, Machine Head, Soilwork, Skinny Puppy, Isis, the Distillers, Bikini Kill, Sigur Ros, Belle & Sebastian, Twilight Singers, Afgahn Whigs, Mindless Self Indulgence, Pixies, Mogwai, Refused, Rilo Kiley, Sleater Kinney, Silver Bridge Disaster, Sweet Ray Laurel...those are some favs but there are a whole lot more.I like bands that have a special ingredient in the mix. There are too many bands out there that sound like they were shit out of a factory for the mass production of music for the soundtrack to someone's boring life.
Fight Club, Sin City, Big Lebowski, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, Garden State, PCU, Sleepy Hollow, Braham Stoker's Dracula, Interview with a Vampire, I'll think of the rest later
the Daily Show, History Channel, National Geographic, Adult Swim, and 6 Feet Under
Right now I am reading Misquoting Jesus (Ehrman), Manifesta (Baumgardner and Richards), and I just picked up Generation T, 108 ways to transform a T-shirt (Nicolay)
