Passion is an intense and versatile performer blending Reggae, Rap, Rock and Dancehall. His unique style is cultural as well as commercial. His songs 'CHILDREN OF TOMORROW' and 'LIVIN IN DA GHETTO' featuring Lindo P have enjoyed massive airplay across the world. Wayne Passion, a.k.a. Wayne Reid, was born in Kingston Jamaica. He has been delighting audiences all around the world with his Rough 'n Ready Jamaican D.J. Singin' Style.
Wayne Passion has released many singles on both of his Jamaican labels 'Wi Born' and 'Good Youth'. He also produced two singles for DJ Soljah and many other artists that received massive air play world wide. After his success with his former group 'RASTA SURVIVOR' with there hit song 'PUT THE GUNS DOWN' he decided to continue with his solo career. Wayne Passion since then has been featured on several Much Music programs and on Breakfast Television. He also has graced the pages of many magazines and major newspapers around the country of Canada.
Wayne Passion kept busy performing around the world, sharing the stage with performers Mykal Rose of Black Uhuru, Jamaica's top DJ 'Truck Fender' and DJ Soljah. Passion also toured with Devon Martin on the Kumbaya Tour along with Paper Boy, Tom Cochrane, Tom Wilson, Universal Honey and Jeff Healy. Wayne Passion subsequently released more hit singles: 'Bush Doctor', 'Cant Stop Wi', 'TicTac' & 'Boopswitch' which was a response to Blu Cantrell's 'Hit 'Em Up'.
Wayne performed at the Downsview Park on Canada Day Celebrations event that featured Snow, Nick Carter and Sean Desmond. He also appeared at one of the most successful Reggae events of the summer- 'International Reggae Superstars' featuring Coco Tea, Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, Kevin Little & Lady Saw. Wayne also performed along with Taurus Riley in 2007 at the Jamaican Canadian Center. Wayne is now dedicated to helping challenged youth, by helping to provide funding for Youth Training Programs, Music Programs, and Summer Camp programs for Inner-City youth. He was voted a Finalist in the Guinness 'Man of Respect' awards sponsored by FLOW 93.5 FM radio in Toronto.
