I'm continuing to cultivate my "artistic interests". My friend Jean is trying deperately to teach me how to knit. She's very patient...and I'm very BAD! But I'm trying. That counts! And - I quilt...take a look at the photo of my latest creation - it's almost done. It's very different from what I usually make, but I love it!
George W - I'd like to know if he's REALLY that stupid! Crocodile Hunter - I could use some help getting over my irrational fear of snakes. RIP! Frankly? I don't like this question - I know this is going to sound contrived or something, but..I'm pretty happy with the people who are in my life already!
Favorites - in no particular order and included whether I should be ashamed or not: Regina Spektor (new favorite - she's crazy), KT Tunstall, Tori Amos, Ani Difranco (I have an embarassing amount of Ani on my mp3 player - I don't find her as angry as I think most people do), John Denver, Billy Joel, Cher, Dropping Daylight, Nina Simone, The Fray, Neil Diamond (even if he's a crazy jerk), Miles Davis, Jason Mraz, old DMB, Coldplay, Sarah McLachlan, Big & Rich (You can't help who you love!), Sia, Sister Hazel, The Beatles, They Might Be Giants, U2
I love most movies. Even the really bad ones. Particular favorites - again, no particular order - The Thomas Crowne Affair, Labyrinth, Serenity, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Breakfast Club...
I watch entirely too much TV. I'm aware. Someone should stage an intervention and pull the plug: Law & Order, SVU, CSI (just the Vegas version), everything HBO does: ROME, Deadwood, Six Feet Under, The Wire, The Sopranos, Entourage...The Office, "Earl", The Closer, Grey's Anatomy, Buffy, Angel, Firefly
I read in spurts...lately nothing but Jodi Picoult books. It's almost embarrassing, except that I've made a new pledge to not really be embarrassed by myself. Seriously - check her out! It's good stuff.
I have so many heroes. But most of them just sound so stereotypical and obvious...my Grandma B, my mother, my husband, most of my girlfriends...
