Lead vocalist/bass player MARIA HÄNNINEN, guitar player KAI JÄRVINEN and drummer PETE LEHTELÄ have had a rich and adventurous life in the field of Finnish rock music. In EXTRA VIRGIN their experiences have been pressed into an oil that will grease even the rustiest joints.
Extra Virgins rockin and riff-based, juicy and heavy-rhythmed music brings in mind the 70s and flashes of giants like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath and their later followers as Havana Black and Audioslave.
Marias career has been exceptionally varied and colourful. As a versatile singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist she has lent her talent to many famous Finnish artists and bands like Michael Monroe, Dave Lindholm, Jukka Tolonen, Havana Black, Pelle Miljoona, Hector, Mannhai etc.
Kai and Pete have been co-operating in various Finnish rock bands in course of time. Giddyups, Veeti & The Elastic Family, Michael Monroe Band and many others have had the pleasure to enjoy their talent and musicality.
