I was born in 1962 in Denver, Colorado to very educated and supportive parents. At a very early age I was a voracious reader and questioned everything. Traits that I am proud to say I still maintain. Some of my earliest memories are of drawing the typical musings of a boy: airplanes, tanks and monsters. My father, a veteran and aviation historian, taught me the science and majesty of flight and heroism. My mother, a teacher was instrumental in fostering a never-ending appetite for discovering how and why things worked.My work is a reflection of the created reality that is all around us. I reach deep into the abyss of human nature and try to capture the inner landscape of man's existence. By exposing this darkness the light of truth is revealved. What seems terrifying is beautiful, what seems impossible is attainable. Everything is comprised of dichotomies, which echoes my whole being and I try to bring that out in my work.
