Traveling is a passion... parenting is a lifestyle

About Me

I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend just to name a few of the basic titles I proudly hold. I have a son who has been pivotal in changing my life on a day to day basis. I never realized the strength every parent must have to continue to have what seems to be endless patience when dealing with a child on little or no sleep! I lived in many places such as Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Colorado and Washington. On the off chance that I get a break from being a mom I enjoy having a glass of red wine, bubble baths, magazines, books, traveling is a passion and photography. I love art and I enjoy art projects even though most projects are rarely completed but that is probably more of a sign of ADD than lack of ability. I love dancing, kissing in the rain and peanut M&Ms.

My Interests

Outdoors, Hiking, Camping, Travel (both in the US and the rest of the world), Love Animals, Reading, Hanging out with friends and family, love holidays and their decorations, Music, Dancing, Photography, Movies, Almost anything really.

I'd like to meet:

Hmmm...having found my soul mate I would like to meet any long lost friends or people who could become friends. If I had the chance I also wouldn't mind meeting Johnny Depp :) But really, what are the odds of that?

Music:

With the invention of the IPOD or any MP3 my life has become fully imersed in music. All varieties for all moods that can occur on a day to day basis. How did we ever survive without this invention? No more need to flip through pages and pages of CD's or be pissed if someone scratched your favorite CD. But I must admit that my favorite part of having an IPOD is my husband building me a modern day "tape mix"

Movies:

Finding Neverland, The Secret Window, I love Johnny Depp movies...Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,. He's an amazing actor who really knows how to become his character in his movies.Favorite Christmas movies: The original clay animations like Rudolph and the original cartoon version of The Grinch.

Television:

Can I say TIVO is seriously my favorite invention or at least one of my favorite inventions of all time! It has let me watch TV shows when I want while not having to sit through commercials. I've gotten so much time back in my life and I can successfully watch a season of TV without having to alter my life. I also suspect TIVO will be a lifesaver in the near future when I'm up in the middle of the night with our baby! Some of my top favorite shows are 24, Lost, Rome, Grey's Anatomy to name a few.

Books:

Where does one begin when talking about books. I love books...all books. I've rarely met a book I didn't enjoy. I love craft books because they inspire my creative side. I love gardening books because they inspire me to plant the plants which will bring me at least a season of joy and color to my yard. I love fiction books because they relax the mind and encourage my imagination and of course I love children's books because they have some of the best illustrations.

Heroes:

Parents that have raised their child to be successful citizens. It is harder than I ever imagined.

worry...

Worry is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it doesn't really get you anywhere.
