About Me

My name's kate, but you can call me katie. But thats only if you know my names not actually katie, otherwise you have to call me kate. I live in sunderland now. I want it to snow. I'm not really on this very often. That bloody bebo is taking over the world. bebo.com/katiekatepoo <------------ mebo on bebo. Yup. I really like rock of love. Cheerio. Pink Leopard myspace layout

My Interests

Some of the things I like are... snow, cups of tea, boys in cardigans, me in pyjamas, lovely music, lovely people, dancing, vodka lime and lemonade, frosty mornings with leaves and blades of grass that look like they should be sold in Thorntons, chocolate biscuits, jessica fletcher, fairy lights, books you can't stop thinking about, people that sing with accents, my bed

Music:

My favourite band in the world is the lovely Sons and Daughters. They make me smile. And dance. And smiling whilst dancing is the best thing since sliced bread. Fact. Although they are now in fierce competition from 1990s, who everyday are one step closer to taking the throne. I also have a very strong affection for The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Kings of Leon, Idlewild, Interpol, The National, Maximo Park, The Bluetones, The Pipettes, Hot Hot Heat, Belle and Sebastian, Camera Obscura, Any Form Of Scotchpop Ala Orange Juice, The Bowie Boy, Bloc Party, Aberfeldy, The Strokes, Simon and Garfunkel etc, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary here. In fact, I am a self-titled cliche. But I am tempted to put really obscure bands to try and sound cool, but unfortnately I'm not cool enough to know the names of any.

Movies:

I like owt me! But especially things with Bruno Kirby.I also like films with synchronized dancing. The Kirbster dancing would probably make me pee myself. But no movies please. I am not American.

Television:

I heart the TV. Especially neighbours, post-neighbours detective programmes about people who aren't actually employed as detectives, heroes, vintage ER, hollybollocks, the itv classic bouncers, this morning, and the usual funny stuff that is actually easier to watch on dvd cos whoever is in charge of channel 4 and bbc scheduling is a foool.

Books:

Anything by Augusten Burroughs, Nick Hornby, Andrew Collins or John O'Farrell. These people make me laugh out loud on public transport. So not a good look. Also love books like The Life and Death of Charlie St. Cloud by Ben Sherwood or anything by Mitch Albom cos books like these give you new perspectives on love, life, death and shit like that. We all need that now and then innit?

Heroes:

Les Dennis and Alan Partridge. I've always admired their ability to bounce back.
