About Me

Formed in November 2003 in drummer Sam Hang's tiny basement; The Summoned has set out to make their own unique brand of death metal mixing progressive, hardcore, and black metal elements. In only four years their sound has been turning heads, raising eyebrows, and has been highly acclaimed by their peers. Their live performance are like no other winning over crowds of every persuasion. Between Shaun Murphy's mesmerizing solos, Greg Mann's annihilating rhythms, Sam Hang's machine like percussion, and Steve Thompson's powerful screams The Summoned is a force to be wreckon with. 2007 marked the century that The Summoned signed to Respawn Records. They're getting ready to release their debut album titled "Harvest". They declare, "the new material will be our heaviest most progressive stuff to date." Debuting the new material at shows audiences had been surprised, shocked and praised to hear what they have created. The Summoned is something for everyone who has a love for all forms metal. That's where they stand out most. Four different entities, four different ideas, and four different backgrounds with one sole purpose to make the most unique sound they can.
