I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Am: Son. Brother. Best Friend. Cousin. Nephew. Grandson. Scholar. Artist. Gay. Activist. Photographer. Music Maniac. Alliteration Appreciator. Movie addict. Dreamer. Lover. Closet-nerd. Romantic. Film enthusiast. Avid reader.
Am not: Asshole. Egotistical. Cheater. "Non-conforming" conformist. Pirate. Primary Psychopath.
Like: Classical architecture and Hellenistic art. Films. The idea of getting married, having 2.2 kids, a dog, and owning a brownstone in DC or NYC. Hair dye. Piercings. Tattoos. Decorating. Planning. Style. Beer and girly drinks. Theoretical Physics. Good music (i.e. mine, not yours).
Dislike: Drama. Ice. Promiscuity. Conceited people. Dishonesty. School Loans. Meatloaf. Fake laughs/smiles. Baked beans. Repeating myself. Repeating myself. Ignorance. Discrimination. Stereotyping.
I am a student at the University of Maryland, College Park. I'm doubling majoring in Marketing and Studio Art - Graphic Design concentration, and minoring in LGBT Studies. I will be in school forever.
I need coffee to get up before 10 or I will be a negative Nancy all day. I'm not superstitious, however I kiss the roof of the car when driving through a yellow light.
If you ever say sushi, chinese, Chipotle, Starbucks, or Red Robin I will be there.
If my life had a soundtrack it would be quite eclectic and most likely a little disturbing, and that's how I like it.

My Interests

Photography, Advertising, Activism, Films, Novelty, Traveling, Reading, Singing (badly and loud), Window shopping, Cities, Camping (though I've never been).

I'd like to meet:

I like people who are intelligent and novel but also keep me entertained - are wild, crazy, spontaneous, and willing to try new things, free spirits if you will. If you can't hold an intelligent conversation with me then I won't find you worth my time. If you can't relax and just go with the flow then I could get bored.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Music:

Circa Survive, M.I.A., Brand New, Animal Collective, The Sound of Animals Fighting, Broken Social Scene, Bjork, !!!, Hot Chip, Kid Sister, Operator Please, Angels and Airwaves, Buckcherry, The Killers, Placebo, Kill Hannah, Damien Marley, Daddy Yankee, The Zutons, Saosin, From First to Last, Soft Rock, some Pop and Pop Punk artists that I'm not too proud of.

Movies:

V for Vendetta, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, Pride and Prejudice, the Messenger, The History Boys, Pi, Perfume, Running with Scissors, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Silent Hill, the Craft, the Descent, Hannibal Lecture Series, Murderous Intent, Fracture, Star Wars, Lord of th Wings, Contact, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Boys Don't Cry, the Devil Wears Prada, Rent, Moulin Rouge, Children of Men, 300, Factory Girl, Poster Boy, The Departed, the Science of Sleep, The Fifth Element, Grease 1 and 2, Harry Potter, Peter Pan, the 10th Kingdom, anything with Johny Depp or directed by Tim Burton, Batman Returns, many more.

Television:

America's Next Top Model, House, The Universe, Sex and the City, LA Ink, Will and Grace, Queer as Folk (guilty pleasure), Family Guy, Futurama, Drawn Together, Project Runway, Foster's Home of Imaginary Friends, Who Wants to be a Superhero?, Stand up Comedy

That book is no where near the greatest work of American literature yet every school system insists on everyone reading it. Obviously I'm a little bitter.

Heroes:

My type of hero is anyone who expresses them self and does as they please without caring about how people view them.

Undergrad Studio Art Students

So this is only my second semester at UMCP, however it is painfully obvious that the undergraduate studio art majors are quite lacking in the motivation department. I would usually make the quick jump...
