L.L.Sandell

About Me

Lars Ludwig Sandell is not your average music industry pretty boy. Actually he is not your average anything. Standing 6’4” this huge Viking is more of a monument than a man. He is a living proof of the WYSIWYG principle. Starting out as a drummer and percussionist, Ludwig later moved on to playing the guitar. At first playing guitar was a tool aiding in the songwriting process, but playing his own material at various venues, he soon found himself playing with different bands both live and in studio settings. When it comes to L.L.Sandell’s music, it’s just as hard to label as the man himself. You’ll find elements of roots and blues as well as jazz, gospel and rock incorporated in this musical stew. His percussive rhythm guitar style provides a solid foundation in his music. His style can best be described as raw, real, and brutally honest with a lot of nerve.Going to a concert with L.L.Sandell will be an experience you’ll remember. You might love it, you might hate it. Some feel blessed, others feel provoked. One thing is for sure, no matter if he’s playing original material or interprets the songs of others, the songs all becomes his. From celebrating the good things in life to mourning over injustice and pain, Ludwig represents something unique in this day and age; compassion, insight and honesty.Alan B
