A wise friend of mine once said that there are two kinds of people in this world: bubble gum people and beef jerky people.The bubble gum people are like a burst of flavor when you first met them. They are extremely bright, happy, and pleasant to be around and they almost always make an immediate impression on you. People can't help but be drawn to them. But after a while, they lose their flavor and many of their novelties soon become mundane. The beef jerky people are much more difficult to approach. There isn't much that initially draws you to them and most people grow tired of them at first. Yet, the more and more you interact with them, the more of their unique personality you see (hopefully for the better), just like getting the flavor out of a good piece of jerky the more you chew on it.
