About Me

Most of my song compositions are pieced together in a free-form manner, made up entirely on the spot, and changing a few directions within. I prefer to play and perform improvised instrumental music. I believe it is impossible to grow as a person or musician or performer without stretching out and learning to play with all kinds of people. I encourage everyone to push themselves to do this because there are so many perspectives and so much to learn from just trying this, even if it feels difficult.
I perform and collaborate with lots of folks. I record most of my performances and rehearsals. Some of these projects wax and wane as time permits, some are one-time-only live performances, and others are more consistent. This website features my solo music, but I will be posting my upcoming shows with my family of musicans, here. I have a record label called Majestic Records which will be releasing my own projects and music that I am interested in. I am currently working on instrumental guitar pieces and I will be posting new songs during my recording sessions.
I play drums in This Blinding Light . I play bass in a Black Sabbath cover band called Supernauty , play bass and sing in Mars Accelerator , and every so often play drums in an instrumental duo called Resistor vs. Levator with Sky Lynn who is Levator . I play guitar in another instrumental two-piece called Waves with Don Blair, an early drummer for Some Velvet Sidewalk .
In no particular order, I have performed live or collaborated or recorded with, all of these talented musicians:
Lean Crops, Elysian , Levator , DBM , Bill Sundt , Caroline Rue ( Hole ), Breaker Breaker , Cave Brides (members of Nod ), Michael Dahlquist (r.i.p.)( Silkworm ), Viking Moses , Pussy Chop Banana, Joy Wants Eternity , Carla Torgerson ( The Walkabouts ), The Colorblind James Experience, The Blue Leeches, Faster Tiger, Mancini Projekt, Yam , Chariots Of Blood, Ghosts I've Met , Brad Dunn , Knot Pine Box , aheartlesssolution , and a few others along the way.

This photo was taken on January 24, 2007 at The Jewel Box Theater. I performed a very short solo set for Wall Of Sounds' 4th Annual String Specialists Concert. I played with 7 other solo artists including Jherek Bischoff (The Dead Science), Brad Dunn , Alex Guy (Degenerate Art Ensemble) Devin Welch (Shoplifting), Michael Shannon (Aono Jikken Ensemble), and Jeffery Taylor and Michael Ohlenroth from Wall Of Sound .
