I am here for Friends

About Me

I love My Space. It helps me stay connected.
For example, I get to stay connected with people who take their own profile photos by holding a digital out and snapping a pic making a quirky face. Sometimes they take their picture in the bathroom mirror (but I think this is kind of stupid). Others use their favorite picture with their ex-significant-other but they crop out the ex-significant-other (but they never really do a good job because usually you can see the other's arm in the shot).
It also helps me stay connected with people who think they're sexy, so they wear sexy clothes in their profile pics and stand in sexy poses. I wonder if these people realize that they come off as either skanky or sexy ugly? Regardless, no one strives to be either of these life. No child says, "When I grow up, I want to be overweight but I want to wear really tight daisy-dukes where my stomach folds fall over the side like a raging waterfall of fat. And I want to wear clear heels, draw wide circles around my eyes with liner, wear a shade of lipstick that clashes with my skin color, hide my acne scars with foundation applied like a layer cake, and lean over so I show more cleavage then I have breast." Nope, no child says that. Well, maybe Brittany Spears said it, but celebrities don't count in my in-depth analysis.
My Space also help me stay connected to people I don't even like in real life. But I have to keep them on my friend's list because I don't want to offend them or hurt their feelings. Denying a friend request is like going over to their house and paper-cutting them in the face repeatedly. Then dousing their freshly cut wounds with salt and lemon juice. Then telling them that they are adopted. It's just not the polite thing to do. So please, approve my friend request. Please.
Someone once told me that staying connected is the most important thing in life. I think it was AT&T. Regardless, I've learned a lot from AT&T so I think this advice can be trusted. So My Space, I salute you, for helping me build bridges, between the cliffs of solitude and the promise of friendship.

What the Hell is Wrong with Weathermen?

At four o'clock in the morning, I was laughing hysterically.  Was it because of a comedian?  Nope.  Was it because of a fart joke?  Not at all.  It was because hurricane Ike w...

Why I will vote for McCain/Palin

McCain hates earmarks.  I hate earmarks.  I think that adding high-dollar earmarks to legislation is a cheap tactic to get additional pork into good legislation or a cheap way to have good l...
