The Incredible Hogue

We believe whatever we want to believe (Demosthenes, c. B.C. 350)

About Me

I'm one of THOSE people your hippie mother warned you about!
Bible study/prayer group in Denton I used to moderate (Working on an Austin version!)
Likes: Friendly arguments, meals with friends, road trips, businesses that are closed on Sundays, youthful optimism, people who make me think, archaic words, incandescent lights, politics, long-term missionaries, retro '70s decor, Pac-Man, disc golf with friends, my Mustang GT convertible, eschatology, Bad Movie Night, alternative energy, Jones Cream Soda, and fun with fire extinguishers when no one's looking.
Dislikes: Unnecessary relationship drama, vehicles that honk whenever they're locked, dogs that bark incessantly, flood lights, willful ignorance, groupthink, fire ants, movie previews that take God's name in vain, tattoo overkill, antinomianism, over-decorated MySpace profiles with too many templates and applications, opinion polls that claim to speak for the entire nation, Sex and the City, and legalized abortion.
Things I miss: Denton.
Additions to my friends list: There are some friends of mine who don't like MySpace or who feel they aren't hip enough to have a profile. One of them is my good friend Steven Armstrong, who opted for a Zude account. What was ironic is that as soon as he put up his first social networking page, Zude decides to close up shop! So do me a favor and drop Steven a line at [email protected] and tell him he should get on MySpace.

My Interests

Being outdoors, being indoors, theology, online ministry, disc golf, cooking for friends, reading, correspondence, and just hanging out. I'd love to get back into hiking and camping, or something else physical, but working six days a week kind of takes away from that. Just started running again (kinda).
