Chilean musician Andres Espinoza, has been playing percussion since he was 8 years old. He graduated performance in afro-cuban percussion from the school for the performing arts in La Habana, Cuba, as well as graduating with honors from Berklee College of Music in Boston as the first ever hand percussionist to major in Jazz Composition. He is the composer, musical director and percussionist of the Latin fusion sextet Los Songos Jalapenos , as well as the Andres Espinoza Octet. Andres has also composed works ranging from solo instruments to chamber ensembles to big band. He is currently preparing his new project dealing with the global gypsiness of the music. He has performed and or taught in several countries of the world, Including Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Cuba, USA, Mexico, and Canada
