I like spending time and talking with good friends and family; I like going to the gym (at least I did until my job made it virtually impossible to get there anymore); I like my job (YES! I DO!); I like rollerblading at the beach in the summer; I like tropical locations; I like outdoor bars (especially on a warm Friday evening); I like to DANCE (warning: this is typically fueled by alcohol); I like to think about traveling (although I rarely do - I hate to fly!!); I like to party; I like my down time -
Anyone who can help me further my career; anyone who has something interesting to say :) How's that for honesty?
I LOOOVE music - I guess it started as a child when my father would blast Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin and The Rolling Stones through the house. Because of that I have a serious appreciation for classic rock. I love partying to hip hop, pop or cheesy 80s; relaxing to Norah Jones or Dave Matthews; chilling to Groove Collective.....you name it and I'll listen. I think music is one of the most powerful forms of expression there is - it spans countries and languages and brings people together. I admire musicians who acknowledge the power they have and use it for some common good.
I'm not the biggest movie buff - every year I promise myself that I will go see the Oscar nominated flicks, but I never do.....I have enough drama in my own life without paying to see more - give me something that will make me laugh! Favorite movie: The Birdcage .......Also a big fan of Old School, Wedding Crashers, Elf, Christmas Vacation. As I read these back to myself I realize how bizarre the list is - should give you a good idea about my sense of humor though!
Ok, TV junkie here; let me break it down:The Office, Will & Grace & 24 are at the top of my list. I'm over the Desperate Housewives craze; but love Gray's Anatomy. America's Next Top Model (because I like watching catty girls with oversized egos); Wife Swap (because it makes me feel REALLY fortunate in my own life); Real World (because I think the interpersonal dynamics of throwing 7 strangers in a house is STILL intriguing). Finally, lets not forget the old school favorites that will replay on my dvd player for all of time: Friends & Seinfeld.
I don't have a 'hero' - I would like to know who ACTUALLY wakes up everyday and really tries to model their own life after another particular person, usually a stranger. I prefer to say that I ADMIRE people - my mother for everything she has overcome and her patience, and my father for the strength of his convictions
