Long hard road to get here...
But it's been well worth it! Crystal Wisdoms Reiki is open for business in a temporary home. I went back to Moon Magick and decided against setting up shop there. Something about the energies of the place had changed since my previous visit. I was wondering where I could set up and get started and was really amazed when the family decided to "give up" a space for me!
The room our hot tub is located in is a kind of sunroom off the back of the house. It was patio, until Dad (and his builder's license) decided to enclose it but include a lot of windows for a light, airy feeling. The room became a "catch all" for things you didn't want in the garage but didn't want in the house either. It always seemed dark, dirty and stuffy. When Dad suggested it for my reiki room I wasn't thrilled but agreed to "entertain the idea". After sorting out a lot of junk and washing down the walls (thank goodness they're vinyl siding and power wash up real nice), scrubbing down the rubber floor and putting up some window blinds, it was starting to become a bright, clean, comfortable space. Exit the old chest freezer and enter a brand new, white upright freezer, add some room divider screens, some artwork, plants, a couple chairs and tables and, of course the massage table and suddenly the room is ready for reiki and a very relaxing space! Everyone (Dad, Mom, Phil and I) all pitched in to do the work and now it's a favorite room in the house. Even the dogs feel comfortable out there now! You can take a look in my Reiki Room photo album and see for yourself!
I'll keep you updated on the progress of the business as I start practice and work towards my Master, which I'll receive in August this year.

A great overview of what Reiki is, the history and examples of treatments. One of these days I'll make time to make my own!
