"HELLO, GOOD FRIEND"
 (Introduction to me.)
I'm on MySpace for the sole purpose of discovering new music and bands that I might otherwise not have the opportunity to listen to. However, to prove that I'm a real person and not a spam bot, here's an FYI about me... =)
*I'm a girl. (My name is misleading.)
*I'm East Asian. (I'm stereotypically short.)
*I'm deceptively young. (I still get carded!)
*I absolutely adore sarcasm, subtle compliments, quirky individuals, laughing, people-watching, attempts at good grammar/spelling/punctuation, sleeping without worrying about tomorrow, "the chase", receiving mail from someone I haven't heard from in awhile, when something happens that seems insignificant but actually means a lot to me, and Gwen Stefani.
To gain insight into my personality, all you need to know is my zodiac sign: Pisces...
*Keywords to describe a Piscean (courtesy of dailyhoroscopes.com ):
Imaginative, Sensitive, Compassionate, Kind, Selfless, Unworldly, Intuitive, Sympathetic, Escapist, Idealistic, Secretive, Vague, Weak-willed, Easily Led
*Description of a Piscean (courtesy of Universal Psychic Guild ):
Mysterious and alluring individuals, most Pisces are extremely talented, but even though they are gifted in many ways, they still manage to spend most of their lives battling "confusing" conditions. Pisces is the sign symbolised by the image of two fish. Their symbol depicts one fish heading upward, the other pulling downward. This mirrors how Pisceans are frequently torn between two pathways in life, or actually do live two very different existences at the same time .
The Piscean's inner quest to explore their "ivory tower" syndrome can lead them into some most unusual and unlikely living conditions. Of all the signs of the zodiac, Pisces are the ones who end up in the most muddles over the years of their lives. They fantasize about situations, people and particularly romance - and because they spend so much time in their own form of 'fantasy land' this can catch them short in other more worldly areas. Because of this inner world of fantasy, Pisces people seldom perceive whatever is going on around them in its true light. They see life instead as they want to see it, coloring their view of the world in hues and tones far removed from its true reflection. No wonder this is the sign of both miracles and disillusionment. If you are a Pisces, be warned your emotions are a weak spot.
One thing that plays havoc with your life is romance. When things romantically are going well for you, you are on cloud nine. When romance turns sour you land in a heap. Pisces often need to take lots of holidays (or time off) to recover from life's many diverse pressures. You are the zodiac's most sensitive sign, so you need to take extra special care of yourself. Nobody can beat you up, as much as you can beat yourself up within your own mind. In your purest form you are psychic, visionary and a guiding light to all who know you. But, in your "out of tune" state, you become depressed, obsessive and confused.

 Some bands I truly enjoy
I'm not really sure what particular genres of music I favor most, mainly because I don't truly understand the nuances between the multitudes of genres and sub-genres that exist. Mainly, I like particular songs of different bands, rather than particular bands. But this is a sampling of some bands who have many songs I like (click on names for profiles).Atreyu

 "FAMOUS LAST WORDS"
 (Notes about my profile.)
As you can see, my profile is very music-centric. (I even tried to make all my section titles relate to music in one way or another, e.g. "Famous Last Words" is a song by My Chemical Romance.) I'm interested in anyone that can introduce me to a new band. It would be particularly nice if the band's music fell into similar categories as those bands I've already listed. Or, bands one might find at the Warped Tour would be a pretty good bet. Since everyone has MySpace, it would be amusing to see some of you at a show!
I don't put up banners for every local band I like. Just ones that I communicate with and that I feel pay adequate attention to their fans. Obviously, it's the fans that put money in these bands' pockets, so it would be common sense to be nice to the fans.
For bigger bands, I wouldn't expect the same kind of attention, so I promote these bands whenever the mood strikes (e.g. if I just finished listening to their latest cd or watching their music video, etc).
Other than just regular MySpace users, I'll usually only add bands. On occasion, I also add music festivals (e.g. Warped Tour), concert venues (e.g. Recher Theatre), or celebrities (e.g. Tila Tequila). Very rarely do I accept record labels or clothing brands. I like to keep the number of profiles on my friends list down to a manageable amount, so I usually check out bands to decide if they have a sound I like before accepting a request. I also rarely request regular users since I'm not big on comments and such.
Key for my blog entries: (F) Friends, (P) Public, (PL) Preferred List. The preferred list is for anyone who actually wants to read all of my entries (you must be really bored, haha). Obviously, I won't know you've read anything unless you let me know. =)
