About Me

Past
FIXt started back in 1990 when I got my first Sampler / sequencer - a Roland W30 workstation. Eventually I got bored of 14 seconds of sample time and progressed through learning the various digital and hardware systems of that era. FIXt collaborated with many people over the years – artists, performers, producers, DJs, engineers, blah blah.
Personally, I’m most grateful to Rod Mansell @ Infinity for great evenings & teaching me shed loads, to Mike Bandoni @ Funkshone for showing me amazing things, learning together, and solid times, and big up to Jay Relf for the bulk of fun, frolic, frivolousness, mad shit, sweat, blood, good, bad and ugly over the years.
Made some great friends in South West London though the ‘90’s and had some dramas & disasters. Thanks to all of you for being much of the inspiration. You know who you are and you kick ass!
Present
Currently, FIXt is recording an album. The working title is "Bread and circuses" & it has been described as a “musical pastiche of drama, tension, mystery, oddness & chunky bits”. The album has about 9 songs but I need to finish off about another 2-3 and stitch them all together into a coherent album.
It's not been easy because FIXt music doesn't really belong in a pigeon-hole… It gets claustrophobic when categorised. But I hope to have it done very soon. I wont be putting it on iTunes so keep your eyes peeled for the large pics saying where you can preview it & buy the music & artwork.
Phuture
Photography & music have been the most fulfilling things in my life in the past... I think I chose a mySpace artist / band account because I want this to be the public face of my Art, Music & Photography, not a personal profile. But I'm really interested in human beings and like to read blogs & comments. If I get friend requests from artists / bands – there has to be something in there I can relate to. As for people… I’ll just about add anyone.
