About Me
I grew up, thankfully, in Western Kentucky in the middle of nowhere. Loved it then, miss it now, but I also love the professional life I have made for myself here in Michigan. I lived in Clarkston, MI about 40 miles north of the Motor City for the last 10 years, but this summer in 2008, my family and I moved to Traverse City, MI. I own my own company and left the corporate world to do it full time only a short time ago in Dec of 2006. I'm married to Jen who takes care of my undeserving ass, check her out. The last two years have been a roller coaster ride of choas and business as I have been working on my company. I love life and live it to the fullest. Since 1999, my main goal in life was to be the best motocross racer I could be with the time and resources I had, and I feel I have succeeded in that, with many race wins and competing for Championship Points in both Motocross and the Ironman Grand Prix series. I still ride and race, but injuries and Flextech Solutions have slowed down the racing a bit. I am also a fabricator and love to weld and build things with metal - my biggest project is displayed in my myspace page, my second chopper which is a ground up peice by piece custom that I finished in the the summer of 2004. Also, when Dimebag Darrel Abbot of Pantera (one of my biggest guitar heroes) was murdered on stage in ohio, my interest in playing guitar was re-sparked. Like anything else, once I get into something, I go big, so I have once again become a student of the electic guitar. I have played guitar my whole life, but as with most things, now, I am serious about attaining new skill and reaching new hieghts. I play everything, but tend to graitate toward blues and metal. Yeah, I know, seems kind of weird to see those two styles in the same sentence, but I am weird, what can I say. My business is now located in one of the most beuatiful places on earth, Old Mission Peninsula in Grand Traverse Bay of Northern Michigan. I restored the Scalehouse and Office of the old Gleason Cherry Plant to run my company from, and so far, now that the work is done, it is really great. On May 10, 2008, our first daughter, Madison Marie Dunwell entered the world and she is now the center of the Dunwell Universe.
