About Me

Age is just your attitude. I grow younger all the time because I quit trying to "pass" as Polly Perfect and dropped all that and learned to be ME! (ME is great!) I am a former repertory theater actress from NY, with a degree from a professional school of Drama connected with Syracuse Univ. in NY. Sometimes I think I am a drag queen in a middle-aged woman's body... (Maybe over-grown teenage drama queen is more like it!) I was a child of the 60's--huge fan of the music of the "British Invasion", esp.Beatles and Stones. I love acoustic guitar and had my own so-called folk music radio show: Joni Mitchell, Tom Rush, Arlo and Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez, all the protest songs, Laura Nyro, Buffalo Springfield,Neil Young, etc. We were sneaking back onto the air after midnight to just (we called it rap) about stuff and take calls. The night we got all into that "Paul McCartney is Dead" thing was super weird--all these clues every-freakin-where. I had some connections and used to get great seats at all the great concerts: Sonny & Cher, the Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, Joni Mitchell, the Who (when they still smashed up their guitars and blew up the drums at the end), Beatles, Mamas & Papas, etc. It was a great time in the arts and music, and lots of marches, demonstrations, and sit-ins. My main causes were get out of Nam, equal rights for all, whatever race, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation. I was involved with support for Caesar Chavez and rights, fair pay and decent living conditions for "seasonal farm workers". I supported JFK, then Bobby Kennedy, and was at the hotel in LA the night he was about to give his acceptance speech to be our candidate, and was assassinated--that was a nightmare! I recently worked about 2 years part-time with Jared Gold in his Fashion studio. He taught me so much! If you haven't been there, check out the Black Chandelier Boutique in Trolley Square by the movie theaters--and at the Gateway-far south west end. The Jared Gold line hit the runway, Spring Fashion week in LA and was on America's Next Top Model with our living Madagascar Hissing Cockroach brooches. That even made CNN! It is not cruel, they are carefully decorated with Swarovski crystals, and a glued on beautiful short leash and pin. They make good pets if you take care of them, and live about a year. The last runway show:"Caspian" was a huge success,and I dressed as Marie Antoinette gone "Hairspray"--ended up with my photo with 2 friends in Variety's Fashion blog!!! My 15 minutes of fame--at least for now. lol! Jared just had his MOST amazing line: CZARINA at LA Fashion week again. (Go to www.renegadesofstyle.com) !! You will get the best insider's look at the fashion world ever! I am currently sub. tchg.at HS and loving it! But at night I write, do art, etc. Hoping to have a 1-woman show in a year. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

New and interesting people of all ages& walks of life--I like sincere, honest, not trying too hard to impress people. Objective: new friends and interests. Prefer no bad swearing--it is so negative to the spirit, no one with ulterior motives, not mean, vulgar or violence/gore -oriented. I don't mean that as a judgment, but I seem to be extra-sensitive to those things, and need to be in places full of light and healing. I am now an aspiring artist, mostly collage, mixed media, "found"or recycled stuff used in new ways, altered books,costumes. I love texture and layering. Write poetry for my own fulfillment. So it would be great to do some networking with others in the arts/humanities. My role models here are Teresa Flowers, Marcee Blackerbee, Matt Stevens, & Jared Gold. Famous people I'd like to meet: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Princess Diana, Tord Bundchen, Edward Albee, Edward Gorey,Tim Burton,Pink, Gwen Stefani, Cher, Bette Midler,JFK, Jesus, Shakespeare, Da Vinci, Mother Teresa, Andy Warhol, TheMoog synthesizer guy, Bjork, Michel Gandry, Mumbleboy, Hiyao Miyazaki, Dalai Lama, Gandhi, Cornelius, Lullatone, Maya Angelou, Tim Burton, Johnny Dep, Nathan Lane, many others. If I could be someone else, it would be Bette Midler (or Paul McCartney's personal assistant).
