J.O.H.N.N.Y.

Like, come on...for real, bro.

About Me

When I was nine years old, I told my school counselor that I wanted to grow up to become a football player. She told me that I should think of another career.
I wish I knew where she lived now so that I could thank her for that advice.
I will also ask her, "...like what??"
Update (10/10/06): I still haven't found that guidance counselor, but when I do, we're going to have a long sit-down chat.
For now, however, I blog . When I have the time.
I love typing my wide-ranging emotions onto a computer screen for anyone to read. Why do I do it? It's quite fun and, simultaneously, therapeutic.
Lately, though, I haven't found the time.
Eventually, I will find more time and I even plan to write whimsical books filled with commentary from my complex mind.
For now, I spend some of my free time driving myself to the point of headaches pondering whether certain travesties will cease to burden the world. Such as:
- genocide in Darfar, Sudan
- senseless violence in the Black community...as well as a poor sense of reality among Black youth (don't get me started...)
- my, seemingly, poor relationship with "select" family members
- my lack of organization
- my stinky feet
- domestic violence
- discrimination
- sexual assault
I do serve on the board of the Orange County (NC) Rape Crisis Center, though. Matter of fact, I entered a kayaking race in July '06 to raise money for the Center.
Don't believe me? Here's part of the documentary that I had a friend of mine produce to chronicle this memorable experience.
Watch the video to understand the beard.
At the time, I didn't think that I looked like Rick Ross.
Looking back, I guess I did.
Nothing gives you "bubble guts" like deciphering your Top (whatever your respective number may be) Friends list. My list is alphabetized. I am currently looking for the code to have NO Top Friends list.
I host an Internet radio show. Johnny Jones Radio . Not often enough, however. Why do I do it? I don't know.
I've been told that it's good. You should check it out sometimes.
Whoever coined the phrase, "blood is thicker than water" highly underestimated the value of genuine friendships.
