I am a voice for the voiceless.....

About Me

28 year old Female, originally from Alabama, but now working in Baghdad, Iraq on a U.S. Military base. Am not in the military, but I am a partner in a company that supports the U.S. Military. I love MANY different types of music, and I am constantly listening to something. I Love to travel around and see all the different parts of the world, there's nothing more interesting that learning about different cultures. I love to ride horses, and I have several at home. They will probably all throw me a few times when I get back to ride them again. I am very outgoing, and usually never meet a stranger. I think that is what I like most about my job is meeting so many new people all the time. I can't stand to do anything monotonous, I like to be doing something different all the time. I get restless very easily, and I am pretty hyper most of the time. I definitely never run out of conversation topics!

My Interests

I Love music, and I love to sing, so that would have to be one of my biggest passions. I am also VERY outspoken about animal rights. DON'T WEAR FUR!!! I love any type of animal, especially my chihuahua, Mousie, who is more like my child than my dog. I love to ride horses, and waterskii, and do about anything outside.

I'd like to meet:

Just like to meet different types of people that are cool and openminded. Nothing worse that narrow minded people. Life is short, God is Good, Live and Learn, and BE HAPPY!

Music:

I like ALL types of music. I am not into just one genre, I like them all. I like upbeat dance music, sad love ballads, accoustical stuff, folk, country, contemporary Christian, etc. I think that GOOD music makes you feel something, and that can come in so many different forms and types!

Movies:

WOW...Don't know where to start....Hmmm...Ok...The Notebook, North Country, Wedding Crashers, Scary Movie, The Skeleton Key, Dirty Dancing, White Chicks, The Green Mile, Message in a Bottle...I guess I am the same with movies as I am with music...I like variety. ..

Television:

Since I am working in Baghdad, and I don't have access to regular cable TV like I did at home, I buy TONS of DVDs. Walmart.com has been awesome because they will ship here. I LOVE CSI, Las Vegas, 6 Feet Under, Sex in the City, Deadwood, etc. Everytime a new season of something comes out, I buy it.

Books:

I basically read anything that I can get my hands on...See a pattern here with my music and movies and books? I read alot of religious books to help improve my relationship with GOd, but I also read alot of mystery, crime, romance and war novels. I just read whatever I pick up. I love David Baldacci, Tim Lahaye, Brad Meltzer, Dan Brown, Jude Deveraux, and many more!

Heroes:

My hero would be my mother or my grandmother. They both have been such HUGE influences in my life. I have learned from both of them NOT to hold grudges, and to FORGIVE people. I have learned from them that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and nomatter what is going on....THIS TOO SHALL PASS. Both of these woman are such strong, tough, but loving women. My grandmother was such a wonderful woman, a role model mother, and an angel grandmother. My Mama learned from a Pro, and she was a Pro too. I hope that I can take some of their qualities and be a good mother one day too. I don't think that being a hero means that the whole world has to know your name, but I think that you can be a hero by meaning the whole world to just one person."THE LITTLE BLACK DOG" I wonder if Christ had a little black dog, All curly and wooly like mine: With two long silky ears and a nose, round and wet, And two eyes, brown and tender, that shine. I am sure, if He had, that that little black dog Knew, right from the first, He was God; That he needed no proof that Christ was divine, And just worshipped the ground where he trod. I'm afraid that He hadn't, because I have read How he prayed in the garden, alone; For all of His friends and disciples had fled Even Peter, the one called a stone. And, oh, I am sure that the little black dog, With a heart so tender and warm, Would never have left him to suffer alone, But, creeping right under his arm, Would have licked the dear fingers, in agony clasped, And, counting all favors but loss, When they took him away, would have trotted behind And Followed Him quite to the Cross. -Anonymous
