About Me

It seems that MySpace isn't really set up for freelance musician types like me, so I'll make this up as I go along
I play the bass. I currently play electric bass and doghouse bass with Mel Melton and The Wicked Mojos , Jon Shain , Dave Quick and a few others when time permits.I've been fortunate to play with some excellent bands and musicians over the years. Here's a few that I can think of from off the top of my head: Jon Shain, Mel Melton, Edsel 500, Dave Quick, John Saylor , The Shods , The Invaders, The Fall City Kings, Matt Hill, Dave Kepford, Taz Halloween, Glory Fountain, The Storyville Skinners, Tres ChicasI occasionally play out with my own band, Edsel 500. We play a lot of the great old rock and rockabilly tunes (as inspired by my stint with The Invaders while I was living up in the Boston area), with some of our own material mixed in. We play a lot of parties, swing dances, weddings, car shows, bike ralleys and all that sort of stuff (and the occasional club gig). We're all pretty busy with other projects so we don't do much in the way of writing new tunes; for now we'll happily settle for the guilty pleasure of borrowing tunes from Elvis, Johhny, Carl, Chuck, Louis and the rest.By day, I am a self-employed graphic designer for print and the web. Gotta support the music habit somehow.

Sounds Like: Imagine if Chris Squire and Geddy Lee had a baby. Wow, that'd be one ugly-ass kid. And I'd sound nothing like him. I play whatever fits the situation. Yeah, that's it: I like playing understated stuff that supports the song.
