Adrian De Shaun "KING" Provost was born in Long Beach, California and was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He began writing and producing music at the age of 12. At an early age casting calls for commercials and being an athlete pulled KING away from his musical calling. At 15 and a sophomore in high school, KING was already creating a buzz gaining popularity from industry heavyweights. Foregoing opportunities to collaborate with well established & up and coming artists & producers at 17, KING decided to attend the University of Southern California and later enrolled at Georgia Southern University. Just like everywhere else his music was received with platinum recording artist treatment (which he isn't, yet). With the market being consumed with horrible music KING decided it's time for the artists that are actually talented to take center stage as he believes "this fluke sh*t sucks! It's like George Bush's election..." Realizing he is a future superstar not just the future CEO of a Fortune 500 company and that "... the music won't move" , Mr. Provost built Smoke Mouf Publishing and Production, Entertainment Company as well as K!NG Worldwide Media and their parent company (conglomerate) Provost Living & Entertainment. KING has been booking and promoting his own shows and at one point had his own Smoke Mouf Shaun King "K!NG of LOVE" Tour. KING managed to have 3 magazine companies and 5 other media/press related companies show up, and 2 companies (including Rated Nextâ„¢) sponsor his first show back in Atlanta off of the impression his music left on the Atlanta area. Over the course of his career KING has managed to sell thousands of mix tape recordings and has performed in just about every type of environment you could imagine. Mr. Provost has written music for the likes of Linkin Park, Jamie Foxx, Monica, Tito Felix, Good Charlotte, and a number of lesser known & independent hip-hop, rock, pop, r&b, and alternative artists. KING worked with numerous entertainment career centers to gain the necessary skills to become the greatest entertainer and innovator ever. Once he moved back to Atlanta, KING began networking with some of the extreme heavyweights in the game, immediately. For example, on KING's first night back in town he had his music played in the club for Usher and Jermaine Dupri at Dupri's club Studio 72 (where KING managed to ruin the side of his black SUV and later wrote it off because it was his 20th birthday and the opening of the club). KING once had an employee give Big Boi of Outkast one of his mix tapes downloaded on an MP3 player on Halloween as a treat instead of candy while Big Boi & family were spotted trick or treating. Ever since, KING has discussed music with Big Boi numerous times, most recently on Thanks Giving Day at Big Boi's Purple Ribbon office / Stankonia recording studio. KING has also been known to network at ZAC's recording studio where he drew praises from one of the most important DJ's in the music industry, DJ Green Lantern (tour dj for Jay-Z and Nas amongst others). Where the evil genius, DJ Green Lantern, stated "Your music is hot man...Yeah, it's definitely hot!" KING has been referred to people he works with to this very day through relationships with some of the most powerful attorneys in music such as, Cliff Lovette's, Lovette Group and former Atlantis Music Conference board member and entertainment attorney Lee Beitchman, who helped KING collaborate with producers like Corporal, who share mangers with Chris Brown and T-Pain and compose songs for Beyonce and Rihanna, to name a few. Not to mention Carl, with links to Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes and N.E.R.D., who recently provided KING with production that is sure to help KING push the envelope even further and go over the top. KING was President of the Economics club, as well as a member of Students in Free Enterprise, and Sports Management club and a coach for little league soccer, football, and basketball teams.
