My name is Tiffany Spurgeon and I am originally from Indiana. I started dancing when I was three years old and started pre-professional dancing when I was just eight years old. At this time I was already dancing in many productions with Ole Olson Theater in Peru, Indiana. Also during this time I was dancing with Ballet Arts of Peru. When I turned nine years old I then began doing productions and workshops with Gregory Hancock Dance Theater in Indianapolis, Indiana. While continuing my dance education I studied ballet, pointe, pas de deux, jazz, tap, modern, flamenca, lyrical, and hip hop at the Jordan College Academy of Dance an affiliate of Butler University in Indianapolis. Here I maintained an apprenticeship and membership with the Jordan Dance Ensamble which made several appearances around Indianapolis. My experience increased with the opportunity to teach at the Peru YMCA when I was fourteen years old. I continued to teach there and keep up with my own dance classes for two more years while also teaching at dance studios such as Wabash Valley Dance Theater and Turning Pointe Academy of Dance. Between these two studios I taught until I turned 18 years old. While dancing and teaching I competed in various competitions; Hall of Fame, Masquerade, Talent on Parade, and Starpower. Here I won titles such as “Miss Masquerade†and Powerpac Team Member, along with many others. I have also attended many dance conventions; “Tremainâ€, “Jumpâ€, and “Monsters of Hip Hopâ€. Here I had the chance to work with professional choreographers with the likes of Marty Dew, Gilbert Saldivar, Laurie Johnson, Mr. Wiggles, Rhapsody, that is just to name a few. The next juncture to come my way was dancing for the WNBA Indiana Fever Inferno. For that season I was in charge of practices and leading routines for the Fever Inferno Dancers. Since leaving my studios’ and starting fresh in Houston at 19 years old, I look forward to a promising career in the Dance world...
