The history of music culture in Germany has always afforded numerous gifted bands, groups and artists who are operating in all fields of the music landscape today. But now a new chapter has begun in which a completely different kind of music increasingly develops more and more influence. The new art of music has a name: “DAT BOYZ FRESH†This is a group of two young, talented and extraordinary musicians promoting their own RnB and Hip Hop music all over Germany. Venyce takes over the rapping part in the group while Cem is responsible for the vocals and the beats. They are two completely different characters contributing to the style of their music in different ways accordingly. This becomes apparent considering the broad diversity of their songs. Venyce is now 19 years old but he already started to rap at the age of 14. This was also the time when Cem (now 21 years old) started to become involved in "DJ- ing". He bought his first turntables “Numark TT1650†and started remixing together with Venyce. Additionally Cem practiced playing the guitarr and the piano. In the following years both, Cem and Venyce, experimented with the music and became increasingly professional in their work. After having acquired a broad variety of knowledge concerning various kinds of recording techniques, music programs and studio equipments they decided to get to the next level and to start professional recording.
They started their project named “Dat Boyz Fresh†in 2003 in order to show the world that Germany’s music landscape needed an alteration. They began to record tracks which in the first place ought to be different from everything that was ever recorded before. The meaning behind them was having fun, loving music and just having a party. Since the first recordings have been produced they are continuing “their own thingâ€.
Nevertheless, the group is able to feature experiences in the music business what can be accredited to their success in elating their listeners. Before the foundation of “Dat Boyz Fresh†both, Cem and Venyce, had been members of KOS records – a community consisting of DJs, singers, dancers and rappers which all enjoy a good reputation. Today they still perform in the name of KOS records but they also are involved in collaborations with BöseEntertainment, Wild 13 and various other famous agencies. However, the next step of the realization of their project is to finish the album which is almost ready to hit the ears.
