About Me

RIP-SPANKY- what a great guy!!! I Know It Was The Blood
Here is a quick note about DIGITAL D. To sum it up he has been engineering over 20 years. Was taught the old school “analog 2’’ then mix it to ½’’ tape” technique of recording and was a pioneer in digital recording, while working with Raphael Saadiq in the mid 90’s. Over years he has been blessed to work with the best in the hip hop & RnB industry. Starting back in 1986 working as an assistant engineer on a number of Walter Hawkins projects. This was at Starlight Sounds in Richmond, California. From that point he went on to recorded, mixed, and/or road tech for Club Nouveau, Michael Cooper, Tony Toni Tone, 415, Richie Rich, D-loc, Digital Underground, 2 Pac (RIP), Raw Fusion, Gold Money, Force 1 Network, The GOV, The Luniz, DBG’z, Dion Sanders, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Raphael Saadiq (7 years), D’ Angelo, Total, Spanky (RIP) Bonnie Boyer (RIP) Big Will (Rip)Willie Max, Otis and Shug, Babyface, the Roots, Bink and Fly Records, Triple Beam, Black Market Records, Hollow Tip, Spice 1 and MC Eith, and Mr. Doctor. This all equals over 25 million records sold. 1986-1993 @ Starlight Sound – Richmond CA 1993-1998 @ Pookie Labs- Sacramento CA 1998-2000 @ Selective Frequencies/ Velvet Tone Studios – Sacramento CA 2000- present @ Hitworks Production Studio- Sacramento CA Digital is mostly mixing theses day but still like to record.
