Thrilly P got his start on the Wheels of Steel in Philadelphia in 98 and took his hard hitting funk style to Brooklyn in 00. Upon moving to the Catskillz in the fall of 2003, Thrilly P and Mark Basil put together SOVA. 8 years of DJ gigs have included New Orleans Jazzfest, Winter Music Conference in South Beach, Philadelphia Residency at Filos, and industry throw downs all over NYC.S'OVA S'OVA is a two piece funk band with guitar and turntables, remixing and looping funky beats live, and then throwing down the jam. many special guests add to the flavor with many different instruments helping the dance party go all night long.FUNK MAFIA Funk Mafia is a group of underground musical hitmen working in and around the Catskill Mountains of NY. Preoccupied and dedicated to the preservation of the motion of the hips, they will call upon any number of funky tactics, improvisational creativity and polished chops. all designed to make you shake yo booty like it was yo duty. With the solid foundation of Bass, Drums, Turntables and Guitar, the Mafia can handle business on their own with no questions asked. But, true to the New Orleans style, they are well attuned with a group of movers and shakers from many other organizations and families.
