Vivionne G. Keli is the Founder, Hold Your Peace Seminars and the future (HYPE) Hold Your Peace Empowerment Center. She is best known as a Motivational Speaker and Life Coach empowering survivors throughout Christian organizations. Vivionne is completing her Baccalaureate in Psychology and publishing her first survivors workbook “Awaken The Silence.”

In 2006, after several years of serving, mentoring and consulting on an individual basis Vivionne realized the need for change..

She saw a need for "restoration" in women from all walks of life. Although, Vivionne's ministry is her own personal testimony, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge in recovery process for survivors. Her passion has helped many women who are struggling with domestic violence, sexual abuse and the occult within churches and Christian organizations.

Vivionne works one on one with women to find their true calling, "there is a need for awareness in the churches and Christian organizations" which Vivionne believes it is well overdue.

Why helping survivors of domestic violence, physical and mental abuse is my passion?

I was a spiritually gifted, bubbly, and full of life child. I grew up in a Christian home and as a little girl I always desired to be an evangelist however my dreams were all shattered. I endured horrific abuse by my biological mother who attempted to kill me from infancy until the age of 5. My father was detached mentally and the rest of the family at that time were ignorant and uneducated.

Domestic violence was a norm for my mother, she was the abuser. She was indeed mentally ill, telling everyone that she hoped that harm came to me and that I would die. Her wishes eventually manifested in the vilest form.

Life, did not get any better,my father abducted me and sent me off to my aunt’s house where her husband would abuse me for over two years. Finally, I was sent back to my father who now was married to a woman with two of her own children. I was only 8 years old. This was a living nightmare for me for I came back to my first abuser and a new one. In total from the age of 5 to 14, I had seven different abusers ranging from various degrees of sexual assults.

I had to run away from home I was 18 when I got involved with my step uncle, a 29-year-old alcoholic, abusive man who lied about many things and one of them that he was not married. After many years of mental, physical and verbal abuse and being forced to abort several pregnancies, I decided to look for love with a different man, but that didn't work out either in time this man chose to live an alternative lifestyle.

All seemed futile. I felt angry towards God and a failure as a wife and mother. I truly believed I wasn't worthy to be a mother and in the process I was forced to give up my daughters to my soon to be former husband at the time, even though he was violent with me. Homeless and alone, I began my journey to recovery in 1996 but it wasn’t until 2004 when I came to Christ completely. How can a person recover from all this, you may be thinking? Through some basic steps but the first step starts with FORGIVENESS!!!

Ask God into your heart. Pray, pray and pray for healing. Forgive ALL those who hurt you. Although hard, love ALL those who hate you. Let go of resentment. Change the way you think, we are often told by mentally sick individuals who we are that we believe them and their lies. Read your BIBLE. Find a Christian counselor, support group and a bible based church. Set boundaries, we who have been abused, do not know how to set boundaries but they are important. Serve others that have gone through the same with your testimony of recovery. Love yourself and get to know who you are and specially who you are in Christ. When you know who you are in Christ then you will know how to stand your ground. Love Yourself

Life is excellent even with it's bad days, I love life and myself. Although, I may experience great difficulties at times, I know that I am not alone for I trust the WORD. God has truly blessed me and I enjoy every minute of my life. I have a great husband, two beautiful daugthers, a grandson and an awesome son-in-law. But my most precious relationship is with Jesus Christ."You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." 1John 4:4
If you are hurting, confused and angry with life remember, true happiness is when you see Jesus as your personal savior. Ask Him into your heart today.
