About Me

I'm a trumpet player and composer originally from Tenby, but now based in Hereford where I have my own small recording studio. I have been playing for many years (Since I was 7 years old) and benefited whilst growing up in Pembrokeshire from it's vibrant musical scene. I later studied at the Welsh College Of Music And Drama in Cardiff where I met and performed with many great players from both the classical and Jazz world.

Over the years I have worked mainly as a jazz musician but have also performed with some fantastic performers in a wide variety of musical settings ranging from jazz gigs and pop sessions through to television sessions and classical projects. I have released several albums under my own name and in collaboration with other artists.

About Mosaic
In 2004, I teamed up with Brian Waite (Piano) and Erika Lyons (Double bass) to form the trio "Mosaic". Our aim was to collectively break down conventional structures whilst exploring the boundaries of space and time in music. We released our debut album "Equinox" in August 2005 and subsequently embarked on a promotional tour of Cathedrals throughout the UK. In 2006 Brian Waite sadly passed away. I feel very fortunate to have worked with such an extraordinary musician and he remains a great source of inspiration for me. Myself and Erika have continued to perform as "Mosaic" and we released our second album "Lament" in January 2008. As a duo we have delved deeper into the possibilities of space and time in music and have been able to develop these principles even further through regular performances in Cathedrals and Churches. These inspirationally acoustic settings are very important to our music making as they provide us with the perfect backdrop for our ideas.

Lookalikes!

Does anyone think this looks like guitarist Mike Britton? Found it whilst in Rhodes (Greece). Why would they build a statue of him?
