About Me

I have been writing since 1985, recording (4-track and beyond) since 1993, and playing live with the band Blank from 1995-1998. Alas, I haven't recorded anything since completing my (thus far) unreleased album Manipulator in 1999. However, with a clutch of brand-new tunes written and semi-arranged (at least in my head!), I hope to head back into Black Creek Studio and commit them to recordings, and then megabytes.
Thanks to the genius of My Space Dot Com, you can now hear some of my should-have-been hit singles at no cost, and I'll be able to read your individual assessment of them at no profit. It's capitalism at its most insidious, because rather than accepting your money, I'll be inside your mind, at least while a particular song of mine is being played. And you can't put a price on that.
You're welcome.
And while you're at it, have a look at Pit Of Horror , one of the leading horror movie websites on the internet since 1998 and which I co-webmaster with Rich Carlin and John Gray , two of the best online collaborators I could ever hope to know.
Lately a major outlet for my creative urge has been my involvement with Hattiesburg Civic Light Opera , a local community theatre group. Since I jumped onboard in early 2003, I have appeared in such old chestnuts as South Pacific (as Luther Billis), The Music Man (as Mayor Shinn), George M! (as Mr. Behman) and The Fantasticks (as Mortimer), plus roles in more contemporary fare such as Footloose, Smokey Joe's Cafe, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas and an especially fun appearance as the Elvis-impersonating "Pharaoh" in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Later, I appeared as "Bustopher Jones" in Cats, followed by "Herr Zeller," the evil Nazi in The Sound Of Music.
I also appeared as "Calvin" in Just Over The Rainbow Theatre 's production of Seasons In The Park in early 2008, shortly followed by an appearance as art teacher "Mr. Schneider" in HCLO's Grease. Next up for me was the part of "Announcer" for HCLO's 2008 Dinner Show, Nunsensations, the sixth installment of Dan Goggins' winning Nunsense comedy/musical series, followed by "Karaoke Announcer" in HCLO's Fall 2008 production of Disney's High School Musical. Currently I'm in rehearsal for the role of "Haydn" in a locally-produced film entitled Cagin Of Chrysaint, for which I will provide an original song and possibly some incidental music for the score. I'll also appear as "Renado" in another local indie movie, The Legend Of Zelda: The Triforce Prophecy, based upon the popular video game. Both films are scheduled for release in 2009. I was most recently seen in the role of "MC At Clear Lake" in HCLO's production of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story in early May 2009.
I am eternally grateful to HCLO and JORT and all the wonderful friends I've made within the organization for the opportunity to learn the craft of acting and to share my love of the stage with a very loyal local audience. I'd like to offer a particular shout-out to directors Rob Mulholland, Michael Garner, Zane Hartfield, Chris Wooten, Jimmy Mullen and Mike Weaver for their guidance and support in my on-stage work, as well as Dana Elise Smith and Scotty Whitehurst for my foray into film. You're the best, and my deepest thanks.
