I'm Your Knight in Shining Whatever . . .

About Me

My story is not something any Hollywood movie producer would find the least bit interesting. I was born and raised in a small town just outside of Springfield. My family was well off and both my parents were loving my entire life. They always did what they thought was best for me. Upon graduating high school, I attended college. I graduated in 2003 with a degree in Mass Communications-Advertising.
Following a 4 month struggle, I landed a job working for a small magazine. The job sucked and the people I worked for were assholes. However, this did pave the way for my next job at a local weekly Shopper(I tried so hard to disguise its name.) This job was even worse; long hours, low pay, and the pressure of carrying an entire company on my back. As much as it sucked, it helped me my dream job as a Graphic Designer with the State Journal-Register. The pay is much better, the hours are much shorter, and the overall environment is much more relaxed.
Along the way, I've learned many things about myself. The more I've learned about who I am, the more I've realized I'm not any one thing at all. I'm a hard-working professional who cares about his career and constantly wants to move his life forward. I'm a loyal person who values his friends and family and does anything for them. I'm a 12-year-old-trapped-in-a-24-year-body that likes to swear and play poker, laugh at other people's misfortunes, and tell booby jokes. I'm an intellectual who likes to read the works of Chomsky, Diamond, and Vonnegut, and debut the issues of the day with anyone who will listen. I am also a party animal who likes to let loose, get drunk, do stupid shit, and make people laugh.
Over the past year, I've learned to embrace all sides of myself as part of the normal human experience. I've towed the line between all of these sides of myself and have been happier because of it.
This is pretty much me in a nutshell, or not so much a nutshell, considering a rambled a lot. Anything else you want to know about me, message me, I'll be glad to answer.
The CricketSoda Myspace Profile Editor My score on The Nerd? Geek? or Dork? Test :
Pure Nerd
(78 % Nerd, 34% Geek, 17% Dork)
For The Record:A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd. The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.Congratulations! Also, you might want to check out some of my other tests if you're interested in any of the following:Buffy the Vampire SlayerProfessional WrestlingLove & SexualityAmerica/PoliticsThanks Again! -- THE NERD? Some of the truest words i've ever read

All we have to believe with is our senses, the tools we use to percieve the world: our sight, our touch, our memory. If they lie to us, then nothing can be trusted. And even if we do not believe, then...
