DJ FX

About Me

What makes DJ FX stand out amidst the surge of DJ's in recent years is his unique approach in the construction of his sets. As a result of his education / degree in architecture, concept plays a primary role. More accurately, he creates stories within his sets. They are based on his life experiences, thoughts, and interpretations of age-old myths and legends. When asked, "What do you spin?", his reply is, "My friends have said it best when they refer to me as a storyteller."FX has been DJing for over 8 years. In that time, he has embarked on a journey to find a common ground with people of all musical tastes and backgrounds through electronic music. He believes there to be an inherent "life rhythm" that exists in all people...one that can be tapped into, affected, and momentarily shared with whomever wishes to listen. Since he began DJing, FX never allowed genre to limit his style, for it was never defined by any genre. The idea of "reading" music; of viewing each track as a paragraph, and each set as a collection of paragraphs which, in turn, tell a story; was always the primary approach to DJing. As a result, sets often shift, sometimes rather dramatically, through genre...however, the approach is done with a level of sensitivity that coincides with the amount of care and sensitivity used in the conceptual development of each set.Currently, you can listen to FX every week online, anywhere in the world, via his Live Internet Broadcast at The Womb. For over 4 years, he has maintained a weekly radio show at the Womb entitled "Stortellers featuring DJ FX". Visit the "FX Radio" Section for more information. In addition to playing for one of the premier and eldest online electronic music stations, FX also plays regularly in & around South Florida. Please visit the "Future Gigs" section for updates on when and where he'll be playing again.Regarding production work, FX has done a few tracks which can be found in the "Production" Section of the site. Additionally, he is currently working on the original composition of his first full length album, a symphony...of sorts.
