La Creacion Musical es Fruto de la Circunstancia

About Me

Composer Juan Pablo Contreras was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1987. He began his violin studies at the age of 7 with Russian violinist Vladimir Millstein. At the age of 12 he became a member of the Juvenile Orchestra of Zapopan, which awoke his interest for orchestral music. Interested in other musical genres, Juan Pablo left the violin behind and started playing the electric bass at the YAMAHA school of music. He became fluent in a wide array of musical genres such as progressive metal and rock opera for which he started composing music. In the year 2002, he joined the symphonic progressive metal band Life Keeper as bass player and lead vocalist. Due to the desire of writing choral ensembles for Life Keeper’s compositions, he began his opera studies with Engelberto Aguilar, became a member of the Coral Regina Pacis, and persisted in his career as a tenor soloist as well. Juan Pablo then joined the partnership Evolution Media Music to write music for short films, where he discovered his true passion for composition. Currently, he studies composition at the California Institute of the Arts and pursues a career as a film scorer and composer. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. [email protected].. .. .... .. ....
