About Me

I've been slacking off and working a lot so checking and updating this space has been difficult. I promise there will be a HUGE update with some surprises coming this weekend.
Sorry to anyone who missed the show. It was fan-fucking-tastic. I forgot how much fun the shows used to be.
I'll be putting up pics and videos soon. I have over 200 taken by the fabulous Bloodoll, and some contributions from a few other people. There were a few video cameras there and some old stuff from the 97 show at the Odeon that Scott Roberts has contributed. Stay tuned!!!
I also got a chance to meet Stuey from the other spuds myspace(myspace.com/thespudmonsters). He came all the way from London, England for the show. Real nice people. I also talked to fans from ermany, Belgium, and all over the US.
Thanks to all of te Spuds past and present, Chris Z. and the rest of the Peabody's crew, and all of the fans that made it an unforgettable night.
The Spuds were one of the best bands to come out of cleveland EVER. This page is a dedication to the people who remember them and supported them. I was not a band member but was a huge fan of the Spuds and local music growing up in Cleveland.
Check out the friends list. This is a band that went over to Europe and made a huge impact on the music scene over there. I wore my Spuds shirts in Germany and it was recognized by lots of people. Anywhere you go in the United States you will find people that know them. As good as the music is it diddn't compare to the live experience. Especially the final show at the Odeon which featured sets by the original lineup and also by the lineup at the time.
As soon as I can transfer the old cassettes and records I got into a digital form I will add some of the older stuff. Pizza, Beer, Death Sucks, Peach and the list goes on.

Influences:My name is Mike, some people also know me as Twisted or "Mr. Bloodoll". I spend a lot of time, along with my wife "Bloodoll" and our very good friend Ed "Brodie" from Rise Above Promotions, working with local bands. I do a lot of pictures for bands as well as promotion, flyer and graphic designs, and ticket giveaways and sales.

I was never a member of the Spudmonsters. I was just a Cleveland kid who went to the shows and moshed. I am a little older and a lot more beat up now (as the reunion show helped prove) and don't get into the pit as much anymore. But in my day we used to go to shows at clubs like Flash's, Peabody's (when it was in the flats), and the Empire. We would take road trips to shows in Dayton, Michigan, Syracuse, and several other cities.

I originally put this space up to spread the word about old school hardcore and so I could use a Spud song on my myspace. In return I have met a lot of very cool people from all over the world. Check out Stuey's spuds page on the friends list (myspace.com/thespudmonsters). A true hardcore fan that came all the way from London, England for the reunion show.

Thanks to all of the people I met at the reunion show Chris Z and the Peabody's crew for keeping the scene alive, Scott Roberts for being an all around nice guy, and all of the fans worldwide.
Sounds Like: Check out the map. Lots of hits on this myspace page come from Europe and all over the US.
